Brand Approval Request Denied - Help
Hi all,
My brand approval request to sell a Korean skincare product keeps getting declined by Amazon. I have uploaded an invoice reflecting the itemised list of goods purchased. My invoice meets all the below criteria that Amazon state they require.
At least 1 purchase invoice for products from a manufacturer or distributor
- Document must meet the following requirements:
- Dated on or after 26-Dec-2022 (within 180 days)
- Includes your name and address, matching the information in your selling account
- Include the name and address of the manufacturer or distributor
- Show the combined purchase of at least 10 units
- Omit pricing information (optional)
I have purchased the products from a verified wholesale supplier of the brand (this supplier is listed on the brand’s official website).
Amazon won’t tell me the reason they are declining my application - they are just sending me the below automated response:
Thank you for your application to sell XXXXX products. We have reviewed the documentation you provided and determined that you are not eligible to sell XXXXX products. We evaluated the information you provided, but it did not pass our review. We took this action to ensure the mutual success of our sellers and buyers on our site.
Has anyone had any experience with this? I’ve already purchased the stock as Amazon doesn’t accept pro-forma invoices. Amazon are not telling me what the issue is with my application or why it’s getting declined. Any advice would be helpful.
Thank you in advance!

Is the distributors website on the invoice - trade only ?
Are you registered and fully verified as a business seller

Their response is the one they send when it’s the account that doesn’t meet the criteria for approval. As to what the criteria are, Amazon won’t say.
Sell something else then reapply later.

More than likely that this is because you have no sales history yet, you may need to get some sales history behind you on other products, then re-apply in a few months time. Different brands will come with different criteria for being accepted to sell, some are easy to get approval others can be very hard to get.

Hello @ A_D3,
Welcome to Amazon and Seller Forums!
You have mentioned, that you have provided a pro-forma invoice. Did you send a final invoice for verification as well?
Bests,
Julia.

I’m inclined to agree with what others have said.
The gated categories like Beauty and Toys usually require you to have some sales history to get ungated. Find something else to sell to get some sales history and then apply to ungate again.

Thanks Ana!
I will check your case and see what I can do
