Certificate of compliance - Lost as to how to obtain it
Hi all !
Can someone please direct me as to how to obtain a “Certificate of compliance issued by an external compliance service provider”?
We sell in the grocery category in the UK and one of our ASINS has been taken down and Amazon is requesting such Certificate.
Any advice would be immensely welcome.
Of course it’s our Best Seller that has been taken down
Best

Could you post here the full performance notification which you received from Amazon regarding the matter, along with the ASIN? As this would help.
But in general, the certificate should be a document issued by a well-established external compliance service provider. Have you tried contacting the manufacturer to see if they would be able to provide it to you?

Hi Jose,
I used to work as technical manager for company that supplied all the UK supermarkets and I had to get these all the time before the retailer would place an order. What they are asking for is an independent British Standards test report from an independant testing house. Some of the UK names that do these are Intertek, Satra and SGS. Each product will have its own set of test requirements according to the standard. However most suppliers should hold these on file and do them once a year or every two years. You need to ask the supplier for a copy of their testing house report in order to sell on Amazon and it needs to be against the British Standard for whatever the item is. Otherwise you could end up spending a lot of money if the standard asks for a few test. I do know that dried foods testing is much more lenient than rest.

Hi Hearward, Please let us know if Amazon accepts that certificate. I was unable to source it from Trading Standards and had to pay A LOT for the certification suing a third party.
The number 1 lesson I learnt is to have all this documentation ready. If the case dealing with such requests go on for too long, it then becomes a nightmare, as whoever picks up the case next, he/she might not be able to follow the thread. This happened to us.
Another problem as that our ASIN was part of a group of ASINS within a Parent ASIN. Well you can guess all ASINS became inactive yet when it was reinstated only 1 ASIN has been approved so far. Still trying to sort it all out.
