Almost two weeks to deliver 2nd class …
Yep. Me too. I must admit I was surprised when I saw the RM48 last posting date of 12th Dec!
I would also take the new dates with a pinch of salt and very optimistic at that.
It’s bad enough trading through a ‘normal’ December, chuck the strikes into the mix and the ever-increasing backlogs at depots and sorting offices, I’d be surprised sending a 1st class letter sized order out on the 16th, would be received before Christmas.
Also, factor in when Amazon puts ‘May arrive after Christmas’ on your listings, which will probably be enabled a lot earlier this year, will just further kill sales as well.
Does anyone know if this will affect FBA or is it mainly FBM?
LOL just switching all ine now to 24 instead of 48 due to the delay build ups really cant see 12th working either with 23/24 as strike days.
The collection times aren’t guaranteed, but you could always drop them off if you want to get them out?
Like Little-Shop I too am now looking to close Friday 16th - We were going to ship up to Tuesday 20th but if you can’t even ship a tracked 48 on Monday 19th I despair. We normally close quite early as it isn’t worth the stress close to Christmas but now it’ll mean losing Friday Saturday Sunday and Monday
It’s a lot of money and I can’t now tell the staff to take extra time off, many have only kept the bare minimum holidays back to cover the break, so I guess we’ll have a very clean warehouse when we get back.
Also I don’t know what Parcelforce will do. This week they cancelled collections on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday giving us two hours warning on the Tuesday. Absolutely disgraceful.
Oh just to add I had an order posted 21st November that has now just been sorted for delivery tomorrow 3rd December - Not bad for a Tracked 48 service
Yep and me… best weekend we ever have, and we can’t open ! SHOCKING absolutely SHOCKING
Yep… saw this yesterday and wasn’t sure if I should laugh or cry…
omg… and just seen now additional strike days 14 and 15 December lol
