DE account deactivated but we don't need a DE Tax number!

Is anyone else in the same situation - our DE account has been deactivated yet we do not sell via Pan EU nor do we sell more than €100,000 into Germany. I’ve used the contact form three times with no response, spoken to Amazon UK who gave me an email address for the German team - also no response.

Anyone had any luck getting their account back online? The ‘opt out’ form is no longer available either so we’re in limbo.

I presume that you sell FBA and have FBA-EFN to sell to Germany from the UK?

You should check your inventory location reports for customer returned items that may be stored in Germany.

Alternatively did you previously ever have PAN-EU FBA enabled?

We had the same issue but resolve with a single click. There will be a notification under your performance notification tab.
Check the declaration option at the bottom of notification page that you not required DE tax number and account will be reinstated.
Thanks

Ours was blocked, not because we ever activated Pan EU, but because even though we had our FBA settings set to only store stock in the UK, Amazon were allowing customers to return items to all over Europe.

Originally I didn’t notice this, I thought that having stock allowed to be stored in UK selected and stock allowed to be stored in Germany, France etc turned off would mean that those settings would be adhered to, but no, not by Amazon.

We have submitted our DE VAT certificate 2 weeks ago, and our account is still deactivated. I’ve created several support cases that get “trasferred” but not responded to. I believe there’s probably a large backlog that they are working through and will eventually reactivate accounts.

this happens to few of mates even if anyone doing FBA or not its still deactivating the account no matter what sale figure you had in DE market place

Hello There,
We all are powerless regarding reactivation of our accounts on amazon.de unless you upload German Tax Certificate.
Basically amazon do not want to be liable for your tax/vat etc whatsoever. regardless of whether you go over threshold of 100,000 Euro or not. as simple as that.
they force you to register voluntarily :)) …but that is a problem as Germans do not register for VAT and subsequently for F22 certificate (the one you need) if you do not go over 100.000 :)) unless you open a business over there :))
I wait until situations develops itself as there is a lot of accounts suspended and that is a lot of money lost for Amazon as well.
