So Im getting 1 item a day being returned to me by amazon with the reason buyer states defective item but nothing is wrong with the items. Most of them are happy new year banners being returned in Febuary. Ive contacted amazon and they are not interested. What can I do ?

Not a lot, it is just one of those thing with online selling.
Customers use the wrong reason, to get a free return.
You could switch on furbishing, which would mean that Amazon will (supposedly) check items and put them back on sale for you.
You need to allow for this kind of thing in your pricing. Your always going to get returns.
