You haven’t told us what documents they’re asking for.

Yes it is REACH testing. I use so many different wholesalers on Alibaba it would be impossible to chase them all and some of these items are from long ago. Never heard about this before.

Do you have your products hallmarked? If you do then would that not comply as the assay office would be bound to test the metals before hallmarking for proof of the type of metal

Seller_sg54Fq7GfBZzn

Absolutely, as there is the SVCH which is Subjects or Very High Concern and relates to the migration of chemicals particularly metals, which can release toxins into the human body and can be carcinogenic. Its good to know whats in them and the nickel, cadmium etc release rate particularly as they are items that are often worn directly on the skin or in the case of earings through the skin. So REACH testing is a must

Well, I have had a reply from one of my manufacturers in China. I asked about the REACH certificate for a top selling item of theirs. They said they don’t have it. They can get it but I have to pay. This company sells 1000s of lines directly on amazon uk usa de all of them and supplies 10,000s of businesses that sell on amazon, they are huge. Interesting huh?

Below is a breakdown of the tests and the prices for Ni / lead and cadmium testing , it does look a bit daunting at first as there are a few options but have a look and see what would fit your samples , you can always send some to us to look at and we can quote you a price that way if it helps Regards Michelle

Our standard Nickel test is £71.00 + VAT per item and the lead time for this test is usually 10 working days.

We also offer a Quick Nickel test which is exclusive to AnchorCert Analytical. The price of this test varies depending on the number of components in each item as follows:
