German acct suspended vat

Hello,

I had an Email today to say my German acct has been suspended due to not providing a VAT number. I am enrolled in the EFN programme, I thought under this I did not have to have individual VAT numbers for Europe? Can anyone please help me out! I reached out to Amazon and they have sent me a standard response which does not really help.

Thank you

If your stock has been stored there at any point, even if you are sending from the UK, then you will need to be registered for German VAT.
So things such as returns going back to the DE warehouses, can kick off this requirement.
Frankly, there is nothing that you can do about it once they decide you need to be registered.
It’s either that you register or simply no longer sell on there.
Your far from the first to have this happen to them.
