God help Amazon and me
I had my account hacked on Thursday and during that time, the hacker loaded on around 1700 items of computer hardware at cheap prices. Within the 12 hours it took Amazon to stop my account they had taken over 500 orders at prices ranging from £500 to over £2000. The hacker then messaged the buyers asking them to pay direct to a bank account.
But the problem for me really started after that. You cannot talk to Amazon seller support unless you are logged into your account, but if your account has been hacked you cannot log in.
You call the numbers on Amazon and this is for customers only not sellers.
You just go around in circles. I managed in the end to access my account again by going through the USA, as their security seems less than here in the UK.
Moving forward however, Amazon will not remove the neg feedback left, they will not remove the restriction now on messages, I am in danger of having my account restricted due to the high cancellation order level and late dispatch. You could not make this up, even in a Fantasy novel.
Now I have my account back the difference in service level between customer support and seller support is from different planets. One guy told me on Customer support, he could not help as I had not made 3 purchases in the last 12 months on that account. So I think in future, I will have to do that, in case I ever lose access again to my seller account.
Be warned out there. If you get hacked, be ready for a long haul to get it back as Amazon will be no help to you at all.

What a nightmare - so sorry for you.
How did you know that ?

It is stories like this that make me answer no to the most recent question Amazon asked.
Do you want to expand your business on Amazon?
I don’t understand why Amazon can not see that this sort of thing stops people expanding. I am guessing they actually don’t want big sellers. Millions of small sellers cause less hassle.

Sorry to hear this but how did they get past the OTP? Did you by any chance unwittingly assist them in this? Did you get a call from Amazon asking for a code before they could talk to you?

I got a message within the Amazon system itself, from Amazon Marketplace, asking me to update some information. Normally if an email I would delete it, but this was in Amazon itself.
So I was already logged in etc, but as happens in Amazon, when you go to settings etc, it always asks you for log in and OTP and it for this, but clearly someone had opened an account in Amazon and called themselves Amazon Marketplace and then messaged me, but as it was in Amazon it looked totally genuine. I was actually on the phone to Amazon questioning this, when my account got hacked.
So I was able to report it there and then. But once that call ended, it was impossible to get hold of Amazon seller support. There should be some way to contact them, but there just isn’t. You are left totally helpless and Amazon just do not want to know or help. They are all just brainless drones. How can Amazon allow someone to open an account and call themselves Amazon Marketplace and worse send the hack message in an Amazon message, that looks exactly like an Amazon message would look like. I am normally very suspicious of everything, but this was good.

Hello. Good that you did take the account back. Now try to request removal on feedbacks, probably some of them will be removed. Whereas for the violations, wait up to 160 days
to be removed. In aspects of help from Amazon, forget that as they never help anyone and they treat us as we are nothing. The fact is that 47% of Amazon is us ( sellers) but none cares. We are the ones that we help them grow too.
Good luck

i have a solution for you.
Just don’t ship the order let them go in late shipment and after some days amazon will automatically cancel them and believe me it will not affect your cancellation rate.
It will remain 0.

Surely it will affect the ODR - Order defect rate ?

this is one of the biggest problem. I called customer support they open a case. Then seller support sent me email and asking what happened. The email seller support sent doesnt accept incoming emails. so they open a case. They asking questions but you can
t reply to them. When I call back to customer support again they open another case and same thing happens. You can`t reply to them.
