Guidance Needed!
Greetings,
I registered as an individual seller (non-UK). And when I started the VAT registration number process through an authorized tax agent by Amazon, I could not complete the application as they required a document that states that I am a sole trader from the country I am resident, and that document I cannot provide.
So, the tax agent suggested that I can set up a UK limited company and I can complete my VAT registration process, but that would be a new legal entity and I have to update Amazon with my case.
Note: Amazon support opened a case to share with the tax agent the required documents and I replied with the situation update, and got no reply from them yet.
Please advise the right course of action for my case or whom do I contact.
I am concerned that if I just wait, my account could be deactivated/suspended for any reason.
Thanks

Your first mistake. The individual seller account is only for people selling off their own unwanted possessions (old books, CDs etc). If you are buying (or making) goods to resell with the aim of making a profit, you MUST have a business account on Amazon - in your case, as a sole trader
Sole traders in the UK have to register with HMRC (the UK tax office) for income tax purposes and get a document from them with their tax reference number, which Amazon will accept as proof of their business status. Can you not get something similar from the tax office in your country?
In addition, if you are not resident in the UK
AND you do not have a business in the UK with its own, real premises (somewhere from which the business could be run, so not just an Amazon warehouse or a tax/company agent)
AND you want to store goods in the UK (as I assume you probably intend to do)
you MUST also register with HMRC for VAT, before you send any goods here. Setting up a UK limited company without its own premises would not exempt you from this requirement
