Have I just been tricked by Amazon CS or what? Tells me to do something, then says he can't help me because I did what he told me to do?
I make a listing yesterday - after 2-3 months of attempting to get this listing on Amazon. It was up for 14 hours maximum, until Amazon remove it for potential policy violations.
- The item does not violate any Amazon policy
- There are hundreds if not thousands of similar items that have been on Amazon for YEARS.
- I have all relevant documents and have done everything by the book to get this listed. I have approval for the category, I’m able to sell similar products even.
Somewhere on the account health page it said something about not allowing Nicotine products on Amazon. It said i must put ‘No Nicotine’ in title and or description. This is an issue ive had before and doing that has solved it before.
The product is an electric vaporiser device, for things such as essential oils, Terpenes, botanical Concentrates. Please do not tell me this can’t be sold on Amazon because I have 100 pages of other sellers products with thousands of reviews to show you. Ive also checked amazon policies, and yes this kind of device is allowed. It doesn’t come with Nicotine - AND IS NOT MEANT FOR NICOTINE.
I create a case telling them there’s no Nicotine, and that I should be able to relist it with ‘No Nicotine’ in the title.
I get them to call me so I can deal with the issue further. The CS rep tells me to go to account health page, select all child ASINs of this listing, and (I think) submit an appeal.
All this page allowed me to do was to group the ASINS together, check two boxes saying they don’t break amazons rules, and click submit.
I asked the CS rep what to do, should I click submit. He tells me to click it. I explain how it hasn’t asked me for any specific info, he says juts click on submit.
60 seconds after doing that, he tells me that i won’t be able to re list the listing because i admitted it violated amazons policies when I clicked submit.
ARE YOU FU**ING KIDDING ME?!
Im not sure if its because English wasn’t his first language and he didn’t understand, but I feel like this guy just tricked me into shooting myself in the foot. I was asking for help to relist my VALID listing and this guy tells me to do something which means I will not be able to relist it?
Does this even sound right?
Someone at amazon needs to listen to this call and either get this employee trained better, or fire him for misleading and sabotaging sellers accounts. I am baffled. I had to hang up.
If anyone who works at amazon is even semi competent, please help me. I have violated NO POLICY. My product is perfectly capable of being sold on Amazon. Your CS member is either highly mistaken and has caused me a load of stress, or, he has sabotaged this listing due to incompetence or other inexplicable reasons.
All I really need to do is add ‘No Nicotine’ to my title, but I KNOW this will be a fortnight long procedure of document procurement, explaining myself 10 times over etc. PLEASE if you are an amazon employee and are reading this, help me rectify my listing, this has taken literally 2-3 months to be able to list, and now I get this. SO DISHEARTENING.

Does the packaging say ‘Nicotine free’? There’s a reason for me asking because, if you were to add a sticker with those words that meant the packaging looked different then you would be obliged to create a new listing for it

Hello @connoisseur_terpenes,
I’m Patrick from Amazon, here to assist you.
Going through your post I understand that you have concerns with your listings removed due to not mentioning ‘Nicotine free’ in the detail page.
@Sequin, @Jackie1 and @The_Little_Shop thank you for your assistance.
Firstly I would suggest you to please review our Listing guidelines for E-cigarettes and Related products
Kindly note : E-cigarette devices and related products and parts—including shisha and hookah inhaling devices:
E-cigarette flag: Required
Category in which they must be listed: Health and Personal Care
Must state explicitly: ‘Nicotine Free’ or ‘No Nicotine’
All e-cigarettes and related products and parts that do not meet the requirements listed above, and on the ‘Tobacco, E-Cigarettes and Related Products’ and ‘E-cigarette and Heated Tobacco Products’ Seller Help pages, will be removed.
Also I humbly request you to check Restricted products FAQs.
If you believe a product has been removed in error, contact Seller Support and provide the ASIN number and a detailed justification for reinstatement. Ensure that you follow all instructions in the Restricted Products notification prior to contacting Seller Support.
Amazon is continually making adjustments to the systems we use to detect restricted products. Occasionally, the system may remove products that are allowed on the site. This may be due to incomplete or inaccurate product information, or simply a system error.
Further more I’d request you to check the listings and contact our support team for further steps to reinstate your listings.
If you need any further assistance, you can post here so that we or any of the sellers on forum can help you.
Regards,
Patrick
