How to get 2d barcode from an old order
Hi
I’m new to Amazon so would appreciate any help:)
~I bought a shipping label for RM standard 2nd class large letter, which comes with 2D barcode. As I bought it throuigh amazon, I assumed the delivery confirmation code above the barcode would automatically be uploaded to the sale. It wasn’t.
4 weeks down the line and the buyer has messaged saying item hasn’t been received etc etc
I have phoned and messaged amazon, and they said they can’t issue a duplicate label or the original label that shows the barcode. They keep saying to contact RM, but RM say the account is with Amazon and without the barcode, they can’t do anything anyway!!
What is the best course of action? Obviously I dpn’t want an A-Z claim opening against me

I don’t believe that large letters bought through a standard non business account come with a delivery confirmation code.

its stored for 30 days on the order screen , go to shipped order find the order click on it and half way down theres some boxes click reprint label and itll give you what you want from there but only for 30 days

For future reference, you can save the label image to your hard drive.
I think Dedez is right that LL labels do not have a proper delivery confirmation code. That’s only on small parcels, as far as I know.
I’ve never found the LL IDs to work on the RM website - they give you a vague indication that they are valid but no real info.

Thanks for all the replies people. What I really need is the code above the barcode, so a claim for non-delivery can be lodged.
You would think that as the label was bought through Amazon, it is their account with RM. But Amazon say I have to deal direct with RM. RM say I need that code before they will even entertain a claim for loss. No code = no claim.
I’ve already refunded the buyer as I can’t show one way or another if it was delivered - it’s by the by - but there should be a simpler way of getting that code.
The reprint option in the seller centre is there for 30 days, but as this is over 30 days I can’t reprint the label. Someone suggested saving the labels on the computer - that’s a good shout and we’ve started saving as PDFs and then printing from the saved file.
Also, FWIW, the 2D barcode is nearly always scanned by the posties, but they are not all uploaded to the RM website. However, should someone put a claim in for non-delivery etc, they can access the scans and go from there. You can contact RM directly by phone and ask for proof of delivery if it doesn’t show on the website and they will manually put it up - we’ve done that a few times with amazon buyers who once can see the tracking turn around and say my wife had and hadn’t told me blah blah blah
