How to recreate an EAN barcode

Hi,

I’ve recently purchased a product when it arrived it had no barcode (ean number). my product is going under another listing but unfortunately i need re-create the same barcode for this listing which amazon provide when creating a shipment. the product is exactly the same as the listing and confirm this with amazon support.

so i have the 13 digit ean number, does anyone know a way i can re-create the barcode?

Thanks
Louis

Okay

So how do you know for sure that the product you have is exactly the same as the existing listed one, as your product does not have any barcode.
May i ask where you purchased it from (not asking for the name of the suppler)

Printing a BarCode
Printing a barcode is easy.
Download the font family “Free 3 of 9” - you may need to buy this font.
in word, or whatever, take your barcode EAN number, e.g. 12345678900000
add a “*” to the beginning and end:
asterix12345678900000asterix
set the font to Free 3 of 9 and there you have a barcode you can print out.

e.g.

Thats how we do our lables - our EAN’s are GS1 numbers, and we just print the barcode using the font we bought.

We buy from GS1 and they are GTIN numbers on our account not EAN - Does Amazon see these as the same, or are they classed as GTIN via Amazon ?
