Hi you need to upload your invoices manually unless you have an intergration set up, the one amazon offers are just for vat registered businesses.
So what ever software your using for accounts etc. Will be possible to do it from that if not there are a few free ones on Google then you upload it to the order.

Hi There, Im jumping on the back of this topic, just had notification that invoices for business customers are now mandatory, well they will be!! I run a ltd company and have been selling on amazon handmade for a couple of years now, i have had a couple of business customers and i created a word doc invoice as i would normally for my company, but i have just checked the manage invoice tab on relevant orders and its says this for all three…

Failed

Document uploaded was corrupt.

Do i need a specific format for invoicing, i am not VAT registered as i don’t come anywhere near the threshold.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thx in advance.

You need to create your own invoice/receipt first and then upload it via the 'Upload Invoice ’ button - that part you are seeing is ONLY if you are VAT registered.

I, and many others on here who are not VAT registered use www.invoice-generator.com.
You need to change the currency to GBP, then input your details, your buyer’s details and the order info.
Then download it to your device, go back to the ‘upload invoice’ button, click on that then click browse and find the invoice and upload it - done.
I have bookmarked/saved the invoice page to my favourites, so you don’t need to fill in your own details every time, they will be saved on the site.

Sorry to highjack the thread but do we now have to upload invoices for all customers or just business customers?

Thanks both, I didn’t read it that way but I was just told by an Amazon rep on chat that it was all orders. I couldn’t find anything to in the literature to confirm that.

Am I right in saying that if you activate the VAT calculation scheme you don’t have to do anything as it is all done for you?

I’ve always just made one up in Word or Excel and saved it as a template. That works a treat.

I’m totally baffled by this policy - not VAT registered here AND all orders are fulfilled by Amazon, so why should I be wasting time uploading invoices/receipts individually for orders that Amazon already has all the data/details from.

This is time consuming and doesn’t reflect the service fees I am paying…

Surely this is not correct?

I have also faced this problem not being VAT registered. However I thought I had a brainwave and went to print the sales invoice but instead saved it as a PDF. After doing this and going to browse for the file, it would not upload a PDF file !! Anyway the quickest and easiest way I find is to use a screen capture software and save the resulting copy of the invoice to my desktop and then using that to upload. works a treat for me
Hope you guys get your problems sorted.
