Is it me or is this THE most useless platform ever?

Hi Everyone.

We are new to the platform and have had the most frustrating experience since joining.

Apparently they were not able to verify us despite us uploading ALL of the documents they wanted with names matching etc.

I have appealed it with no response. this was on Thursday / friday (30th jan and 31st jan)

Any system emails we have had have been cryptic with some of them literally looking like someone has mashed the keyboard and hit send.

I created a case but it keeps getting marked as answered with no answers from amazon ever being given.

Does anyone know what the hell is going on?

it is one of the most confusing, painful user experiencers I have ever had!

In life when something seems confusing, wrong, weird or strange its mostly because you dont understand it.

Search the forum for help getting authorised and set up, there are plenty of people who face the same issues. There are quite a number of hoops to jump through.

Read the terms and conditions properly; people fall foul of not registering for VAT, having more than one account linked/associated.

Been here 7 years, come across new hoops every month!

That’s seller support for you. In most cases they’re not the best, but Amazon does have a very large and increasing proportion of online sales. As @Conny_Online says there are new ‘hoops’ that seem to crop up every month.

wait til they make you write letters to yourself giving yourself permission to sell the items you make yourself on amazon.

This is after you’ve written a letter to yourself giving yourself permission to open an account on amazon in the first place…

Your best bet is to ask questions on the forums rather than try to get any sense out of Amazons ‘Help-Bots’.
From my own selling experience you can look up solutions to most selling questions on here, and save yourself a lot of time and hassle.

Many of us can identify with your there. I have found the Amazon processes really obscure and you just get to the point where you think you have understood something and they change it. Every other marketplace I use has been so much more straightforward, the support staff have been helpful and have answered any questions or resolved any issues without difficulty. With Amazon there are months of fighting to keep the case open long enough to get someone to look at it who understands what you are asking them.

I have always found you have to be very persistant and keep reopening the original case if they continue to close it without an answer. Closing cases without any resolution is not acceptable and very poor business practise, but they don’t seem to understand that. Closing cases is their priority, answering them with a readable sensible reply that addresses what you actually asked them is obviously not.

I do hope you manage to get the process resolved. Make sure you upload your documents in the format required, pdf. is best. If they are not in that format convert them to pdf and then upload them again. They tell you that you can use jpg. but in practise I have found that these are not read or accepted but instantly rejected.

As you mentioned, the customer experience is so slick and efficient and that is why you have come here to sell.

Yes, there are hoops to jump through. But that’s what makes the platform so good for buyers and what means your items will sell.

If it was easy to do, everyone would be doing it and the end product would not be good.

I am currently having the same problem, suspended me upon opening an account without even selling nothing have uploaded ID, bills every verification yet nothing, i just wanna close the accoutn maybe start again but i need my seller fees refunded absolute joke
