Issues with frequent returns
Hello,
Just after a bit of advice for this issue please. I have been buying pallets of returns, testing items and relisting items that are in good condition, but recently I’ve had a large number of items come back.
It seems like people just aren’t reading descriptions, as I put full details and pictures where appropriate under the condition of the item. I’ve had two items come back and complain that they ordered a new item but were sent used ones (even though in the sales return and order details it says that they purchased a used item).
How do you all deal with this?
I understand that you can reduce the refund if a seller has chosen the wrong category for a refund (e.g. ‘item does not fit description’), or if they have used the item (e.g. if I had sent an unused mop and they returned it with dirty pads). Despite this I’m finding it very frustrating that people don’t seem to check before purchasing, and I’m really considering moving everything over to ebay.
Thanks

You might want to take a look at the refurbished program.
But what your seeing is a problem with Amazon and not something that you can do a great deal with.
I used to sell a lot of this kind of item and had the same problems.
I must admit, I found Ebay considerably better to sell this sort of thing on.

You don’t really - continue to make your descriptions as clear as possible and accept that a lot of people see what they expect to see and make mistakes.
Noooo. You can only withhold any amount of refund if the item is returned in a condition other than it was sent out in. Customers may return (almost) any item within 30 days for any reason and receive a full refund (including standard outbound shipping cost within 14 days)
