Item not arrived - request refund
There seems to be an increase in requests for refunds and not replacements since we have used buy shipping from Amazon. I realise that there is a RM strike ongoing (or was). We buy letter shipping for low cost items from Amazon untracked etc but these are all scanned by the PO when we drop them off.
If the item has not been delivered (according to customer) can we file a claim for the ‘lost’ item even though we don’t have a tracking number but we do have a scan of the QR code.
Thanks for the advice.

I always ask them first to confirm the delivery address so that I can check the tracking with the courier
9 times out of 10 i don’t hear back and the 1 that does respond magically finds it

Large Letters now have a delivery confirmation so you can use that to determine if your customer is telling the truth. I am finding it is not always being scanned by posties though so it is only reliable if it says the item has been delivered.
Letter post there is nothing you can do about and just have to take their word it hasn’t been received.
I get very few complaints about items not being received, when I do they mostly turn up a little later than expected. Post seems slow at the moment I am noticing an increase in delivery enquiries in the last couple of weeks but items turn up a day or so afterwards.
If you are buying your postage through Amazon remember you get strike through of feedback for delivery problems. I have had 2 in the last month automatically struck through where the customer complained it wouldn’t be received on time or not received.
I also managed to get an A-Z ODR defect overturned stating policy that I brought through Amazon…this wouldn’t have been possible if I had brought elsewhere.
I have also notice with next day delivery guarantee brought through Amazon that if RM deliver late you don’t lose your premium delivery eligibility (or at least I haven’t)
It is not all bad buying postage through Amazon…there are downsides but some positives.
