Listings Deactivated/Trademark Infringement
A number of my Amazon listings have been removed today ( DVD’s and VHS titles ) all described as ‘potential trademark misuse’. Would this be the same for all sellers of a particular title ? And how can they possibly be relisted as the original selling page appears to have been removed ? And i haven’t caused this anyhow, i’m simply a third party seller .

I had 12 removed today, mostly Star Trek and Doctor Who, DVD and VHS, all genuine, and all listed using Amazon’s listing details/page.

Yes, it seems to be Amazon-wide. Bots gone wild…
There’s a thread on the .com forum (careful with this link as it might log you out of the UK domain unless in a private browser window):

Just a thought…
I’ve had a similar issue before where when I went to sell an item there was numerous options. This was mainly with sheet-music books. For example - I had a Suspected Intellectual Property violation for a Whitney Houston music book. I scanned the barcode with a barcode scanner and it brought up approx 3 options to list it against. I just chose the one with the best sales ranking. After receiving numerous of these SIP violations I realised some of these catalogue pages were duplicates - it was these duplicates that didn’t have the ‘rights’. Always make sure you list with the CORRECT product page. Not saying this is what has happened in this latest clean-up, but just a thought…

I have had real problems. We sell home fragrance products from Maison Berger and they work with designers to produce a range of products which are then accredited to them. Some of those products have been removed, whilst others not. In the end I have found it easier not to list anything likely to cause a problem or to try to construct its title in such a way as to avoid the problem.
