My image has been hijacked and has killed sales

I have been selling a Santa Christmas decoration for over 5 years. Yesterday the image was hacked and now shows penguins in a toilet roll with hand sanitiser. Our Heading is personalised Star Santa.

I contacted Amazon who said to send them the images and they would correct it, 3 contacts later and still nothing has been done. This is our biggest seller at this time of year and now we have not sold a single one since our image was hijacked.

Is there any way I can change it back in the Amazon catalogue to our original images as Amazon seem to be doing nothing.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Give it a try with Add Products via Upload option and use PartialUpdate option to update your image. This usually works quicker than contacting SS.

You can also ask SS to put your ticket through Catalogue team who looks after the Product Pages.

Fix product page - we had the same issue recently but you will need proof. Ours was on the Italian site, so we took a screenshot of our item on the UK site that was correct and attached it as proof and it was sort almost straight away. If you are unable to do the screenshot as we did, you may be able to google your item and it will still have the old page in the results or click on cached and it may still be the old page with your image

This changing/hijacking of product images seems to be getting totally out of hand.
How are the culprits doing it ? -we have to jump through endless hoops to get them changed back to the correct image, yet they seem to do it - how can they possibly provide proof ?

You need to go to Add Products via Upload > https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/listing/upload. Download an inventory template, edit it in Excel and upload it back up again.

It might feel overwhelming if you are doing it for the first time but guide is available here https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/help/hub/reference/581 and https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/help/hub/reference/G202010020. In your case, it will be Category Specific File Category-specific inventory files.
