My first orders whilst being on SFP trial have just come throught today. It says ship by the 19th, delivered by the 24th.
Does that mean this order has to be delivered by the 24th under the regular Amzon requirements, but if I want to acheive prime status, it still has to be delivered next day? Or until the Prime trial period is over, orders do need to be delivered next day?
Secondly, I have only 2 courier services options I can use, Evri and Royal Mail. Evri have next day delivery for about 3.50, Royla Mail have for about 4 and they they have guaranteed 24hr spr about £8. That would be cutting the profits by quite a bit…
What service would you recommend in my position? I am a new , small seller selling roughly 20 units a day.

Are you actually selling enough to be worth using SFP?
There are minimum requirements with the couriers. Do you meet them?
As for the order itself, is it on the Prime Template?
If it is, then the dates given are the ones that you need to meet.
You need to use the RM tracked service. Unless you have a collection arranged with Evri, then going from other posts, your going to have an issue dropping it off.
But at the end of the day, it MUST be a fully tracked service for SFP.

Under the customer option column, do they say standard or one day delivery ? And do they have the Prime logo ?
You’ll need to get it to them by the EDD
You should up your price to include the new ‘free’ postage basing it on the highest price - just in case that’s the only courier presented
At £8 though, have you negotiated Tracked24 prices with your RM account manager ?

So… a thte moment I do not have a buisness account setup and after speaking to royal mail, it would take roughly a week to do so. As I have parcels to ship off today and no buisness account set up as of yet, any ideas what I should do??

Right, so these orders will be shipped off today. But I guess the trial has failed then.
It will take me a week to get the RM account and by then It will be too late.

But I am talking about just 5 orders- if I sell 500 orders , with no problems, I guess I can still pass the trial, as you need 99% valid orders

I have seemed to manage opening an account with evri. I have a collection reference and I have provided an estimate to them.
Now for the orders that have come through today , I have purchased shipment through Amazon (Evri next day) and the orders are now in the “shipped” section in manage orders. It says next to it “waiting to be collected”
I have the labels printed and the orders ready to be shipped. I am guessing Evri now come automatically as I have an account opened with them?

I thought you had to set up a R&M accounts before you got accepted for Prime .
It’s all seems so different since I first joined ,Amazon did it all for me them .
This time I am total confused, I was suspended from Amazon Prime about 3 years ago . If I remember correctly I got Suspend because of 2 late deliveries.
(Life was tough in those days )
When COVID came along I stopped selling for a while ,I am now trying to use SFP again .
Royal Mail have been great ,they have already set up my new prices .
As my inventory is completely different now .
I am just waiting on Amazon to catch up .

You can get away with just having a RM Business Account with Tracked24
You can set a ‘preferred’ carrier - its not that Amazon ignore it as such its just they will only use that if they ‘think’ the carrier can deliver before the EDD. If Amazon ‘think’ they will deliver on time then you get your preferred carrier. If not then they give Evri as the option. For some reason they seem to think Evri will perform better than RM (well based on recent experience they are probably right lol).How exactly Amazon determine if a courier will deliver on time is a mystery. Presumably they monitor successful on-time deliveries in areas and use some algorithm - but of course such data will always be a day or so behind real-world so may no longer be valid - but that a moot point.
I dont have an Evri account and the nearest Evri drop off is a 10 mile round trip which I would have to do at the same time I would be expecting my RM collection - so its impossible for me. If Amazon wont let me buy a RM label and insist I have to use Evri I first make the cut-off time later and try again. If this also fails I do not buy the label via Buy Shipping but put it through my C&D account instead. As long as this does not happen too often you will be ok.
