PPC eating profit
Hello All,
I’m new here and have been selling my products here for only 10 days. I have made no profit as of yet as ppc is eating my profit.
I lowered this yesterday and saw that there were no sales so I do really need ppc for selling my products. I know it’s early days but have become disheartened because of this.
What are you experiences with ppc on a new product launch? How long did you continue ppc for and when did you start making profit?
Thanks in advance

Depends on the products.Ive been running PPC on all my items for 9 years overall it provides less than 20% of my sales at minimal cost. For me Prime Exclusive Discount gets more sales.Whats your ACOS?

Total Spend is running at 55% before any postage costs 15% commision. They want you to spend more per click?

Firstly do your products have any reviews? PPC can be a struggle if the products don’t have a few good reviews. Obviously it’s against Amazon policies for you to get friends to buy your products and give you reviews so I wouldn’t do that at all.

You need to do a lot more reading and a lot of learning on how to launch products on Amazon.

A good product with a good listing does not need ppc. I get hundreds of sales with new listings with no ads
-Is your entire listing SEO?
- do you have a minimum of 7-8 photos (of which meet Amazon requirements) eg of showing the product correctly and 1000 x 1000 pixels
- Have your keywords been updated recently?
-Are you sourcing the best keywords? - Do your bullet points have a min max of 150-250 characters?
-Is your description atleast 1000 characters?
Have you tried the Amazon Test Buyers Scheme forget what its called but Amazon find trusted reviewers for you?
Some basics.
Who taught you to make the listing? What software etc do you use?
If your product is super super competitive with lots of similar ones that could be an issue.
Another strategy which on some products is cheaper than PPC on launches is to be the cheapest even if selling at a small loss to begin with. I sell 2-10 then increase the price.
If you are doing PPC make sure Bid Down is set up (others may disagree I don’t really use ppc as eats your profit)
You can also lower the keyword bid amount until it’s the lowest you can bid and still be high enough up.
I also used to aim to be near the top but not right at the top with sponsored ads.
There are also peak hours I find where for instance a 10p keyword will get you to the top of the page where as 2 hours later you would need a 50p bid, so you can play around with that too.
Hope this is food for thought. I personally try not to use PPC so probably not the best person to advise!
You can get PPC Software, Companies and Consultants worth looking into as well

You’ve only been selling for 10 days. There is no way you even have enough PPC data to properly optimise your campaign, optimise spend on specific keywords and add in negative keywords.
Give it 30 days, then thoroughly analyse your 30 day ad report and make changes to your campaign.
Eventually you’ll get your ACOS down if you do it properly.

I have noticed that you have 240 of these in stock , I am presuming this is the same for all 3 Asins .
The other thing through experience is we are in August and the last few weeks weather has been really bad.
Also this sort of item will sell better at the beginning of the season i.e planting and preparing (so a lot of people will already have them) or at the end of the season when people are tiding up and they realise it is a thing they can not do without
But more likely at the start , when a buyer gets their old one out and realises that it is falling apart or they just can not find it

We got banned from PPC when robot implemented HFSS, Amazon style. Being excluded never felt so good.
