REALLY slow sales
Can anyone see if I’m doing something wrong? Past week or so our sales have dropped from 30 per day to 10ish per day and I’m starting to worry. I’ve tried sales, paying for promotions, nothing works. Some of our competitors seem to have dropped below cost price and I can’t figure out how they are doing it, some of them have been doing it for months and I can’t see how they’re selling so low. But even if we have the buy box, the sales are so slow!
Eek…feeling very desperate

We are the same, normally do a minimum of 30 to 40 sales per day on amazon and only done 6 today - this week has been the worst since we started selling on amazon 6 or 7 years ago

The warm weather may well be slowing things down in certain categories
There is increased competition on Amazon impacting many sellers.
Cost of living crisis is impacting customers still which means less disposable income.
Middle of the month often means slower sales as people start to run out of money.
So many possible reasons it is hard to know…but I doubt you are doing anything wrong
As for your competitors dropping prices they may be experiencing slow sales as well and just need the turnover right now…they may not be making a profit and maybe making a loss.
With your product range you should only be around 3-4 months away from where customers start to buy toys for Christmas so longer term will look brighter but short term maybe a struggle.

A Q that comes around again and again. There’s no formula. If there was, the person would make billions. But yes, good weather, long month, inflation, etc., all playing a part depending on what you sell.
My mum & dad used to run a bakers shop. Each day, something random you would run out of with dozens of folks asking after if you had any. Or anticipating a busy day, they would be left with loads of X, Y or Z. Yet never a pattern could be found. Apart from weather. If there’s one thing that has at least a ‘predictable’ effect, it’s the weather.
For me, said before, feels quiet, but figures say up overall. Even the shops are quiet.

Same here terrible sales in the last 48 hours, I echo Smiley_Guy thoughts but that said we’re smashing it on ebay!

We’re in the same boat with regards to low sales and quite worried about the upcoming delivery based reserve which will impact our cash flow even more

double check that they haven’t added extended delivery dates to your product pages. When that happens, the orders look correct for EDD on your end, but the actual product pages that customers see add a week or two to shipping times. It’s the first thing I check when sales are slow, as it’s been the cause for me before. Currently happening to me in Germany! Customer support can never help, perfect metrics yet this seems to happen at random once every couple months, and typically lasts a week or so.

This time of the month is slow but it picks up the last week of the month with payday. Friday I sold once for £2.49, the lowest ever, but Thursday and yesterday were good days. The graph looks like Ben Nevis, East Anglia, Mont Blanc. I think it’s unpredictable atm, I try to focus on other things and not to worry as there is not much I can do. I have to say that some new sellers that were selling for less than cost price on FBA have disappeared for now.
