RM Click and Drop
Hi all
quick question that may have already been answered on here in the past
we are looking at using RM click and drop but just had a couple of questions for those who already use it -
When you enter the postage weight and dimensions for a specific product, does the system remember it for the next time someone orders the same thing ?
Also, all of our items are free 2nd class postage with the option to pay extra for 1st class or special delivery - I can’t see anywhere on there that shows the postage option the customer has opted for - do I need to go through my orders in Amazon or the bay manually to check for these ?
We do already use Buy Shipping on Amazon for orders and their system seems to do all these things which is brilliant but looking at Click and Drop for eBay
thanks

The system remember bits of information - You have the option to upload product information with preferred default postage category and weight of each item.
Expedited orders will need to be changed manually within RM click & drop.

The system remembers all the weights and the service we select automatically, not sure how it works, but after sending the same item the same way a few times, we don’t need to check anything.

Nope, you can change the settings so you will be able to see the shipping method the customer paid for in Click & Drop.

The system will learn your product codes and weights you have specified over time.
You can also import and manually load your products using
Click&Drop> PRODUCT> Import and
Click&Drop> PRODUCT> Create Product
There are a number of useful ( and short) videos showing you what can be done.
Once your products are set up, it easy to amend the required shipping service.

Just to add you can add shipping rules in click and drop which will automatically check the postage option the customer has selected and then apply the correct shipping service from Royal Mail so you don’t have to manually check orders. I operate the same, 2nd class as standard and then expedited goes as first class.
The only time I have to make any manual changes is if the customer has ordered multiple items which means their order size is different so I have to change it manually from say a large letter to parcel etc.

Thanks guys - so I took the plunge and have processed a few Amazon orders through Click and Drop but have a couple more questions !
I have singled out the items with the same weight and format and ‘batched’ them so that I can apply one lot of postage. I have printed the labels and also manifested them as it seems that they are only marked as dispatched on Amazon if I manifest them
I have packaged everything and popped them into a royal mail bag for later when our postie comes -
1st question - do i need a special tag for the bag or just the manifest
2nd question - if later on this afternoon i run off another batch of orders that come in or if i run off a second batch that are a different format or weight, can i put them all the same bag or do i have to split them by manifest or format like i do with PPI?
thanks

Just a quick question slightly off topic but C&D related
With PPI/OBA, as you all will be aware, we have to seperate each type of mail into seperate sacks so large letters go in different bags to small parcels and 1st and 2nd class are also sub-divided and the same for signed for’s. Sometimes we can have 8 sacks and sometimes we can have 1 item in each sack,. which is bonkers IMHO.
Is this the same for C&D?

Be careful with Click and Drop…we trialed using it twice and each time it failed to update orders as dispatched…if I hadn’t spotted it we would have got a late dispatch rate…I spoke to Royal Mail about it who said it’s good for those who send a few orders per day…but it’s not great for those who send more than 50 orders per day
