Safely using Seller Central whilst travelling?
I will soon finally be going on holiday abroad (yay!)
Now this has got me thinking about the risks of using Seller Central whilst staying in various locations and hotels. Of course I will still need to manage my account (I sell FBA) and log into SC using the WIFI in the hotels and guesthouses I will stay in.
What I’m concerned about is an Amazon suspension arising due to them wrongly believing you have more than one account, as other guests have logged in via the same location. Is this a valid concern?
If so what are the best ways to use Seller Central whilst away from home. I’m guessing a VPN is a big no no as that has the same problems (many possible Amazon sellers sharing the same IP). Another person in the past mentioned Cloudflare DNS being a solution but I don’t see how that helps.
Surely someone on here has travelled and faced the same issues?

Don’t use public WiFi, use mobile data

Connect from an account with permissions NEVER from the main parent account.
You can then connect from anywhere without issue.

I actually honestly do not believe Amazon link accounts via IP’s, one simple reason for me saying this is that a lot of people around the world do not get a static IP address from their ISP meaning they have a different IP every week, month, x months or atleast every time the modem gets restarted. This IP might have earlier been linked to someone who had an account on Amazon.
I believe the main reason to use a VPN when abroad and on public networks is to make sure no one else is intercepting anything.

Been logging into pub WiFi’s, hotels on nights away etc for years. Never had an issue.
Is that just luck, or is there more to it.
My phone is a trusted device, and the only account that trusted device is logging into is my Amazon account.

Not too long back from a break myself. I set up a mobile hotspot from my phone and connected the laptop to that to login. Its just not worth the risk logging into public wifi or using a VPN.

I’ve travelled all over Europe, USA and Africa, continuing to access Seller Central on a mobile phone, ipad and laptop via wifi in hotels, airports and bars, as well as using my mobile phone as a hotspot, and I’ve never had a problem.

We always email Seller support and tell them we will be traveling and logging in from different IP addresses etc and over the years have never had any kind of problem.
UK and Europe

Very encouraging to hear that many have had no problem using both the seller central app and website whilst travelling.
What would be ideal is for a moderator to confirm that it is safe to use these with A) Public wi-fi such as a café or hotel. B) Mobile Data. Any input from @Jessica would be very appreciated.
