Seller Fulfilled Prime advice

has anyone got any advice on this or been doing it for a while?

did it boost sales?

is it worth it?

I post every afternoon anyway so it doesn’t seem like much extra work, its just quite a bit more expensive about 80p a parcel more to use Amazon buy postage rather than my royal mail oba account

I did plan on doing fba but i’ve read the forum chats on it and I think i’ll give that a miss for now as i live near widnes and all my products are small and light

Only 80p more, what service are you using on your OBA account?

With SFP it’s your contact price for TR24 and TR48 that shows in Buy Shipping. It is linked to your RM account. It will be no difference in price at all.

My experience is that items that have the prime badge will stand a small price increase. My product is sold in a very competitive area but since moving to prime and ‘tweaking’ prices I have seen an increase in sales

I found FBA a nightmere…that was a few years ago so I guess it has changed but I could not be tempted back into FBA
Have you loked at Vendor Central? Similar to FBA but not the same… you hold the stock Amazon arrange shipping and customer service … of course its not that simple but that is the broad idea of it.

Vendor Central is nothing like as easy to set up as SFP and there are some major headaches that you need to avoid.
If you consider going ahead with Vendor and want talk it through I would be happy to help.

Thanks for all the info on this, I’m really grateful

merchant fulfilled non prime seems to be the easiest hassle free way for my products and price range, I do reasonably well on here so I cant complain it just doesn’t seem to generate enough ££ for the inventory I have and there is a lot more work involved for much less compared with other platforms

another thing ive noticed is that overall customers are a lot less polite on this platform

i sound quite negative but i do really enjoy selling on here

My niggle with SFP is that you pay a (high) premium to have tracked delivery (so the buyer gets next day delivery as part of their Prime subscription) - then Amazon gets the £79 annual Prime subscription fee from each customer for a service us sellers provide/pay for! Although I appreciate that you get more with Prime - music, video etc - and they provide customer service (I have my own membership and think it’s great), but from a sellers perspective… :triumph:

I realise sellers can put prices up to absorb the tracked delivery cost - but that of course can reduce sales. My Royal Mail Account Manager believes once this tracked delivery service becomes more mainstream - and smoother systems integrated - the prices will go down. Here’s hoping! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi
That sounds like FBA rather than Vendor Central?
For Vendor Central I hold the stock at my warehouser and I sell to Amazon at a price I choose. Amazon never see the stock, it is sold on an Amazon listing ( that I have to create, description images ect) but I can not alter the Amazon selling price. Amazon then send me the orders and arrange the shipping. I wait 30 days for payment.
Its not great to be honest, if you have any issues their customer service is dreradful, they have twice set to zero ALL my Vendor Central stock without telling me and have no interest in trying to help correct the errors they make. I have 2 ‘pending Amazon action’ questions that are over 6 weeks old. Not a hope of talking to any one!
The plus side is there are no returns no customer or shipping issue to manage. I have left VC running but dont do any work on it because I find SFP a much better option
