Selling privileges temporarily removed? Mistake surely?
Hi there,
Hoping someone can answer my question/give me advice on this matter as the explanation from Amazon is vague and despite numerous requests for them to contact me they keep sending me automated replies.
I received this email early yesterday morning
"Hello,
We found that your account is related to an account that may not be used to sell on our site. As a result, you may no longer sell on Amazon.co.uk."
I have a seller account which is a couple of months old, i have a personal account i have had for years which i use to buy odds and sods (no selling) and my Mother had a business on Amazon trading from this address but has since closed her account herself. I do not see how this would cause the issue but thought id provide this anyway just incase.
I can only assume my account was closed in error unless there are other dark forces at work here… anyway it would be massively appreciated if someone could shed some light on this matter.
Thanks
Thomas

I am sorry to hear that your Seller Account has been deactivated. When your account gets suspended due to being related to another seller account which may not be used to sell on the site, it means that Amazon detected that it shares some information with another storefront, which is currently suspended.
In order to appeal a suspension like this, you will firstly need to find the exact cause of the link. It could be anything - e-mail address, phone number, bank account, credit card or inventory.
Once you find the link, you will need to appeal with a Plan of Action addressing the following points:
– Why your account is related to multiple fraudulent and blocked accounts
– Why your account should be reinstated
– How you intend to avoid relationships with risky sellers moving forward
– A request for re-review of your account and why it should be accepted
Most likely, this account is the cause of the link. Are you sure that it was properly closed and not suspended? Also, if you ever used any details which could have belonged (or previously belonged) to someone else (even as a buyer) in your account, this would create the link, just like entering your information into another person’s account, for example when placing an order on Amazon using friend’s buyer account.

I think its pathetic. She was selling greetings cards and i am selling dog shampoo from the house we both live at and i am being treated like some kind of a tax fraud. I was not notified that i had to seek permission to sell from the same address in fact we both sell on eBay and have no hassle there what so ever.
Would a better way to handle this not to be to notify both parties (me and my mother) that a policy had been broken, that action will need to be taken and to take the appropriate action?
I am still yet to hear back from them so will await their judgement.

Hi guys,
So i got my mam to log onto her Amazon account this morning and looked at the case log. Her account is not suspended it is working as normal.
I looked in her case log and she has request to close her account and Amazon have confirmed her account is dormant until she receives a payment for £16. Upon the release of those funds the account will be closed.
Please see full email below.
" Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,
Greetings from Amazon Handmade,
Following your email, I have started the process of closing your seller account by removing the Handmade feature and downgrading your account.
Please note however that this account cannot be closed for now as there is an outstanding payment of 16.05 GBP due on the 13th of October 2019:
Once disbursement has been processed to the bank account we have on file, you will be able to close your account by simply going into the account and choosing the topic “close account”:
Accounts cannot be closed if there is an outstanding payment. Your account is now in a dormant status until its closure.
Thanks for your cooperation with regards to our procedures."

Well if that is the case this must have been done in error as i have never used Amazon to sell before, the bank account was set up recently purely to start this new business the only link i could think of was the address used on both mine and my mothers account.
On Friday i raised an appeal with Amazon and are currently waiting to hear back from them so will see what the outcome is.

Hi Guys,
Its now been well over 2 weeks without any contact from Amazon. At this point in not convinced i will ever hear back which has me questioning their motives.
I still have stock at a fulfilment centre and still signed up as a professional seller both of which i am being billed for. Would you recommend i cancel my professional seller subscription and recover my stock from the fulfilment centre?

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your help through all of this i will act on both as advised. My appeal was regarding the account being deactivated in error as the only connection i found was to my Mothers but as mentioned previously her account was not suspended.
I will not be purchasing from Amazon again and neither will many of my family and friends. I wish nothing but the worst for Amazon and will use any opportunity to put people off shopping here.
