SERIOUS ISSUE - April VAT transaction returns file is corrupted with multiple lines per transaction
This morning we downloaded the VAT transactions file report from the fulfillment reports menu and ran our VAT returns reporting. A quick scan of the result revealed that certain orders were showing multiple times - for example, an order with a single SKU transaction was repeated 40 times. Similar corruption is showing throughout the report which means the VAT is overstated. This problem appears to be random and is noticeable if you scroll through the spreadsheet - easiest by looking at columns F and N. This is a VERY serious issue. Has anyone else noticed the same? Last month’s report appears to be OK - so it may be the introduction of a CSV download that has caused the issue. This problem needs to be resolved VERY quickly by Amazon to avoid sellers submitting VAT returns late and incurring penalties!

Amazon report that this issue has been resolved:
‘Issue of duplicate transactions in AVTR report is resolved now, please ask seller to re-download the report. Please feel free to re-open the ticket if seller is facing any other issue’.
Sellers may wish to check their VAT returns this month to avoid overpaying VAT due to duplication of transactions.

We still seem to be seeing this issue with some of our clients. Just got one to download the report and same issue. Thankfully our software handles the duplicates, but we are getting queries when clients are trying reconcile against the gross amounts. They are not filtering out the duplicate lines when checking.
