Shipping with manufacturers barcodes

If im using the EAN barcodes for my product, when creating a shipping plan do i just ignore the FNSKU labels or do i need to select that i will be using the Manufacturer barcodes as part of commingled.
hope this makes sense.
to clarify, when building a shipping plan and labelling prep, if im not using the FNSKU labels, can i just put in 0 for how many labels i need printing?

I may be wrong, but if it is asking for fnsku label quantity then it wants you to use them. Not every product is eligible to use manufacturer barcodes.
