Should I Pay £3,200 to Help Reactivate my Account?
Hello guys,
I know there is loads of threads on these types of questions but I have already attempted a POA and it’s not working.
I’ve been speaking with an Amazon lawyer called Chris McCabe from eCommerceChris. They are willing to help get me back on track however, it is a hefty cost. I know what I have done wrong on my account but they don’t seem to want to accept my appeal.
I hate having to pay this money, but its this money or never selling on Amazon again - can anyone help me save money
Any advice or links to other threads is appreciated.

Simples. Save your money, sell your product elsewhere. The web is littered with charlatans who will promise you the earth, take your money and then say “Goodnight Vienna”. If you pay £3200 and then you still don’t get reinstated (even though the lawyer says he “did his best”), that is £3200 you’ve wasted on nought. I presume you have tried various approaches with your appeal, including writing to the Managing Director? If so, and you’ve had repeated rejections, it is time to move on.

How about if you slow down a little and post here the entire story including the notification from Amazon and you latest POA along with the response from amazon.
Here (on forum) we have some serious experts on appeals (including Amazon employees) with years of experience who can at least try to help you, before you will start shedding £££ to some random guys on the internet…
Spending money on POA should not even be your last resort, simply because they are useless as they are not part of your business and they will never be able to address your problem with full understanding and honesty…

Also Amazon lawyer???
He either is lying to you, or insanely breaking the law playing on both sides…
Either way, this cannot end well for you

I have asked someone to contact you as this is an extortionate amount of money to help with a POA and in no way should you accept this offer. Gemma will be in touch, she has helped us twice now with POA and twice we have got back and has a huge amount of experience selling on here, the other place and shopify and in doing POA’s. The best of luck.

Dear Seller,
We received your submission but do not have enough information to reactivate your ability to sell on Amazon at this time. Please address the following concern(s):
You are offering items that may be inauthentic. A list of these items is provided below.
Please send us the following information:
– Copies of invoices, receipts, contracts, delivery orders, or authorization letters from your supplier issued in the last 365 days. The quantity of items shown should match your inventory.

– If you are the brand owner, provide a copy of the brand registration certificate, and business license or personal identity card.
– Contact information for your supplier, including name, phone number, address, email, and website.
You can send .pdf, .jpg, .png, or .gif files. These documents must be authentic and unaltered. We may call your supplier to verify the documents. You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible. We will maintain the confidentiality of your supplier contact information.
Please also send us the following information:
A plan that explains:
– The reason you are listing products that you are not approved to sell
– Steps you have taken to resolve this issue
– How you will prevent this issue in the future
Here are a few things to consider as you work on resolving this:
– Listing: Is the product accurately described on Amazon? Have you ensured that there is no ambiguity and the customer is well informed?

The root cause of the issue
- After reviewing our account we understand that Amazon deactivated our account because we claimed to sell a brand which was not identical to the ASIN nor the item we had stated.
- Listings which are branded should only be listed if legitimate authorisation and documentation from brands are supplied, if not, this results in complaints against our account and Amazon deactivating accounts to prevent customers receiving inauthentic brands therefore, damaging the Amazon brand as a whole.
- We did not source legitimate paperwork and documents prior to selling our products on Amazon because we did not offer the correct brand that the ASIN showed, thus resulting in Amazon requesting legitimate paperwork from suppliers/brands after complaints made against our account, which we could not supply.
- We had been deficient in a listings review negligence procedure to meet our inventories correct product specification page precisely in every detail before our listings go live.
- We failed to understand Amazons listing policy and joined on to active listings without the correct training for our listing creation team thus resulting in failure, due to incorrect training.
- We failed to thoroughly investigate Amazon in depth prior to our initial listing.
The actions that you have taken to resolve the issue
- We have removed all listings from our Amazon account including the ASIN’s mentioned previously which had initially caused the complaints and shall only be reinstated when we can confirm their authenticity.
- All customers in regards to stated ASIN’s have received a refund for the items they have purchased and any future complaints from customers will be refunded immediately.
- We have closed all listings on account while extensive training is carried out. While training is in place, if Amazon reactivated our account, only until training has been completed and full competency is reinstated, no listings will go live.
The steps that you have taken to prevent the issue going forward
- Going forward, only authentic items with genuine legitimate paperwork shall be listed on Amazon. This includes more detailed and itemised invoices from each suppler which can be cross-referenced with the product to be listed.
- Only reputable sellers supplying legitimate brands and detailed paperwork will be used for product sourcing. These suppliers shall be vetted prior to purchasing order to prevent inauthentic complaints in the future.
In the case of a future inauthentic complaint, as a business we will have specialised filing system readily available with detailed invoices for every product sold on Amazon, should any proof be required. - We have a dedicated team now in place to cross reference all item listings prior to going live so this issue is eliminated from our business.
We take full responsibility for the satisfaction of Amazon customers as a reflection on the Amazon brand. We also appreciate the severity of this ordeal which has given us time to go back and remodel our system, this has now improved us as a business in every area. This has been an extremely hard lesson to learn by and we respectfully ask to have our selling privileges reinstated so we can continue to offer Amazon customers the best service they could ask for.
Thank you for working with us and giving us the chance to appeal and improve our business.

In my view the issue actually has nothing to do with inauthentic items and invoices, loa’s etc.
Whats actually happened is listing products against incorrect ASIN’s.
I also don’t believe its to do with training people as i’m guessing you don’t actually have a listing team.
Why would you state that future authenticity claims may arise. They might for some bizarre reason, but you should be confident that products you list are correct to the listing (brand etc). Just because a product looks similar doesn’t make it the same.
I know we have to grovel to Amazon in cases like this but I think you’re trying to over play the process of listing.
