Transferring from old Ltd to new Ltd
Hey guys, I realised on my Amazon seller account my company name is still showing as my old name. As we developed our brand over years, we legally changed the company name to our brand name via companies house.
We never updated seller central in the UK. When registering for Aus and US, we used our new legal name and all ok.
Now I want to go back and change the UK account as well. I’m a bit scared to do this but I know I have to in order to register for VAT in EU via Amazon as Avask has said so.
Any tips or help?

I’m not sure, but you might need to transfer the account from the old company to the new one.
Don’t take my word for it, though. Wait for someone to come along who actually knows!

If it just your company name that has changed and the actual company number is the same you just update your legal entity.
I went through this about a year ago when I changed my company name.
Amazon will then require you to reverify your account. They required me to provide confirmation of the name change from companies house (the certificate they provide you), latest shareholder information from companies house (confirmation statement) and I had to reverify my bank account as well.
With the latest shareholder information I had to supply the latest confirmation statement to show this. However the shareholder information doesn’t show on the confirmation statement unless you change one of the shareholders…I added my middle name to do this.
I did do mine as soon as I changed on companies house and I was reverified very quickly. My only concern with yours would be you have left it a while and whether Amazon will query the fact you haven’t told them for so long.

I was also planning Chaning my seller name. The Ltd company name hasnt chnaged is this possible? so the Trading name is changing only . so it says sold by “xxxxx”
