Upload VAT invoices for your orders on Manage Orders page

Top of the news section today:

" We have added a new feature that allows you to upload your invoices for each order. Customers will be able to download these invoices directly from their accounts, without having to contact you. For more information, refer to this help page."

Can anybody find the “Upload invoice” button?

  • Go to Manage Orders on Seller Central, and locate the order for which you wish to upload an invoice or credit note.
  • Click Upload Invoice . A window will open up, showing you all the past invoices and credit notes that you have uploaded for this order. If you have not uploaded any documents for this order, the list will be blank.
  • Click Upload another invoice or credit note . Upload the document, and choose whether you are uploading an invoice or credit note
  • Enter invoice number . In case of a credit note, this should be a credit note number.
  • Click Upload .

After you’ve uploaded the invoice or credit note, Amazon will process the document, which can take up to 15 minutes. Once processing is complete, the customer can download it from Your Orders page in their account

Today when I went to print off my latest order packing slip I have noticed that my last 5 orders (since 15th and all shipped) are all saying ‘Invoice Missing’.
I clicked on the ‘Upload Invoice’ and it says ‘You can automate invoicing by either letting Amazon create invoices on your behalf for free…’, BUT if I click on that it is saying you have to be registered with the VAT calculation service to be able to use it !
I too am not seeing what you posted, Singularity.

I am totally at a loss as I am a small seller, selling books.
Surely if Amazon can create invoices for VAT registered sellers, they should be able to do it for smaller sellers too.
Any advice please.

No I still can’t see the upload button so I think they’ve jumped the gun announcing the feature before it’s been rolled out.

We are VAT reg’d but don’t use the calculation service.

What a genius idea. Not!

Customers can’t even find their messages when they contact and get a reply. What chance do they have of downloading their own invoice?? /facepalm.
