Welcome to the drafts experience!

Has anyone else looked at this? It is to be found lurking in the add a product section.

( Listings that don’t meet valid data requirements at the time of submission will now be stored as drafts. You can view and incrementally work on these listings via the Complete Your Drafts page. You can add missing data or correct invalid data for your drafts one at a time or in bulk. )

I have had the weekend from hell with this. I was about to add a new product and saw all these things suddenly appearing under drafts. Given the info above I thought I had better investigate, bad move!!

There are no error messages on any of them, there is nothing whatsoever wrong with any of the listings, in fact, they are still listed, well almost. I clicked on to them finding no errors or instructions that anything needed to be changed I then saved and closed. No reason for them to be in drafts.

Then to my horror, I discovered that by opening and saving them again to close them it was splitting the selling page, the variations all ended up with an individual selling page. What a nightmare, I had to contact ss for help as the system would not allow me to create a parent again and add the variations back together on to the main selling page with a drop down size menu.

But of course, I had to open loads of cases as they will only deal with one product per case. I have had every answer known to man and none of them the same, most did not sort the problem, they didn’t even understand it. However, I am posting this to say that after waiting for about 12 hours I was then able to create a parent again and gather all the variations together back on to the page.

So I thought OH great it is working, there is light at the end of the tunnel, it is sortable. Well, it was until ss started trying to sort the ones I had already sorted, told them I had resolved and asked them to close the case. I cannot begin to tell you what a mess. Not only did they completely mix up the whole thing again but they changed the sizes on the variations, heaven alone knows why? Then they mixed them all up and the SKU’s were all against the wrong sizes.

I am never going to open anything in these drafts again, what a complete disaster and as far as I can see totally pointless. There is nothing whatsoever on there to tell you why it has been moved to drafts so you can’t sort something when you don’t know what it is.

I really cannot understand why they have to introduce new processes when they don’t work and have not been tested properly. This has been the worst yet.

I’ have the same problem as you Isla and wasted my valuable time, yes bad move!.

Although all my listings are active.

I have variations but it’s so confusing in the draft because my variations is ‘colour’ and all are correct in the ‘active’ listing but the draft keep telling me - A required value is missing for the specified variation theme, [color_name = “null”], [variation_theme = “color_name”] no idea what that means.

Also, I have updated one listing and now have moved to draft… missing data?? I only changed the keyword.

No technical issue banner in the ‘Complete your draft’ apparently it’s in beta mode. So not sure if this is affecting sales.

I noticed a yellow banner at the bottom of each listing ‘We are working on a new experience for this section of Seller Central Try it out’ - I’m afraid to click in case of more issues. Anyone done this?

I immediately checked my listings for any drafts after reading this, but fortunately there were none. I then listed a few new products and suddenly got a draft to appear - one of a product I listed around 6 months ago. I suppose it’s better to just leave it?
