What a bizzare morning - Pro Merchant account cancelled without my request
Ok so it’s been an eventful morning.
I popped home from the office to just go and check on my cat and I get an email on my phone to say that my pro merchant account has been cancelled and downgraded to an individual seller.
Rush back to the office and log into my account and sure enough it’s been cancelled as per the email said.
I didn’t ask for it to be cancelled (wouldn’t of been possible as i wasn’t at my desk).
So first thought is have I been hacked?
Nope, we use 2FA on the account and never use the save browser (so I always have to enter the code when I log in)
The account is accessed from my PC only which is daily scanned for virus and mailware and no new software has been installed on it for months.
Checked that the bank details are all still the same (just in case) and they are all ok still (changed PW now of course just in case)
Speaking to Seller Central and they took me through all the usual questions, does anyone else have access to my pc, etc. etc. and even they are at a loss of how it happened.
Only issue is now that because it was downgraded to individual, i seem to have lost a load of buy boxes and it’s gone to “available from these sellers” which hopefully will rectify in time.

Strange some of the changes that have happened without the sellers making them in the past few weeks. We have had two of our items ‘tombstoned’ when we hadn’t done anything to them and they can’t be ‘untombstoned’. This means that we can’t make any changes to the listing and have been advised to relist the items even though it was our best seller with excellent reviews. We will lose all sales rank and 2 years hard work to ensure the reviews were always 4-5 stars.

If a seller pro account has been cancelled and then re-subscribed.
The buy boxes that are lost - would that be because Amazon are classing us a new seller (although we have our history and feedback all retained) and I presume they should come back in time.

Oh and the saga continues.
Just went to disperse our money to our bank account and they’ve removed our ability for Immediate dispersement.
On the plus side I had a nice call from a guy on the Irish based seller support team.
Explained the situation to him and he agreed that the extra £25 was going to be refunded back to my account but i’ve had to re-open it again now to let them know about not being able to get my funds (pain in the rear as we release the funds regularly)
