What is the point of Amazon Seller Polls?

Like most Sellers I answer ‘Strongly disagree’ to most of them especially if it’s to do with Seller Support or Amazon Customer Service/Policies. But if you can’t add comments why you feel that way what’s the point of them? It’s like Amazon publish these polls to give the impression they care about sellers whilst at the same time not giving them the means to voice their opinion. End result - nothing changes. I find it quite condescending. If Amazon really wanted to see what Sellers thought all they have to do is read the forums.

It’s to provide cover to any changes they make and for middle management to prove to the high ups in Amazon that they are all doing a marvellous job. The questions are rigged in such a way that it’s quite easy to imagine that the results can be easily interpreted to endorse what the company is doing and whatever changes they make. IMO leaving neutral answers will just boost response rates which will then also be used to add a glow to the results

It’s bizarre because they keep coming, day after day, each new one as meaningless as the last,
The latest ‘asked’:

Amazon provides accurate information about issues that impact my ability to sell on Amazon

to which the correct answer might be ‘sometimes’ or ‘if you say so’. but they aren’t options…

It’s the fact that the only possible answer options are basically ‘agree’ or disagree’ that make these polls so bafflingly inane.

There is no nuance to them and short of writing an essay, there is no sensible response you can give.

It is because there weren’t enough useless boxes getting in the way of the useful ones, so they had to make another one.

You can actually comment - click on the 3 dots in the top right corner of the box and it rotates and there is space to comment, and unlike the previous version of the polls there does not seem to be a limit on the number of words you use, so you could write an essay !!
