What to do with this A-Z claim that about to loose
I am hopelessly fighting against an A-Z claim that i am loosing so far.
I sent an item to Ireland, buyer received and contact us through amazon message. Claim that he was not able to print on the correct paper. agreed to return for a refund. Returned at our expense and immediately filed a claim, ‘order not received’. I sent a long message to the buyer, but no response.
So far i have provided delivery details with tracking. However, amazon want a pod with signature. Unfortunately i can only get this after the new year, DHL.UK have requested a pod with signature from their partner courier in Ireland. This pod is expected either 31/12/2018 or 02/01/2019, not earlier.
The A-Z claim stature is ‘waiting for seller to refund’. My fear is that amazon will refund the customer before i get hold of the requested pod with signature.To make matters worse i have just received, ‘Your order defect rate is higher than 1%’.
Any hope here?, of turning things in my favour here.

Could you post a screenshot showing your full A-Z claim representation and the timeline?
From your post, I can’t tell what would be the most appropriate way of handling this situation.
I think that I would e-mail them just before the deadline to say that the proof of delivery will be provided this week and ask them to hold the claim open.

Make sure you reply to the claim if you dont then you will lose it for not replying in 3 days. Then amazon will send an email for a signature abd give you another 3 days for this after you reply.

We have a similar problem. Buyer received the item and after 2 weeks open A-Z claim that he did not receive the item. I provided POD with signature, he states that this is not his signature. Today I received the letter from Amazon that “after careful consideration” buyer is eligible for the refund!!!
This is a clear SCAM case.

This may come as a bit of a surprise but occasionally customers do the stupidest things.
Not uncommon for a claim to be raised for the wrong reason, or for claims to be raised to ensure a return gets refunded.
I am having difficulty here understanding what the problem is, as with the item back to you, why the issue with refunding?
