Who pays postage on returns?
Hello,
I would like to know what are exact Amazon terms on returning items?
For example:
- The buyer wants to send the item back just because he/she doesn’t like it?
Who pays for the postage? And if the seller, should I deliver the prepaid return label? - The buyer would like to return the item, because the item malfuncted?
Who pays for the postage? And if the seller, should I deliver the prepaid return label?
Where can I find detailed information on Amazon?
Thank you for your help.

Without knowing what you sold or in which marketplace, the general rule of thumb is you pay for the return of faulty goods, the buyer pays for the return of ‘change or mind’ goods.

The buyer pays return postage for a change of mind return.
The seller should pay for return postage or refund the additional cost of return when they perform the refund on the goods. Most buyers don’t trust sellers to do this so you’ll probably hit an A2Z unless you provide a prepaid returns label or offer to collect.

Thanks for swift replies.
I sell on UK Marketplace.
Please tell me where I can find detailed information on Amazon website.
I would like to know how to deal with it rather in accordance with UK law, than what Amazon suggest to make buyers happy.
