Brand Registry Rejected-Because the Brand is Already Enrolled
Hello
My application for brand registry was rejected, because " the brand is already enrolled".
The brand has just been registered with UKIPO. I am not the owner, but I am the first to be authorized. It has never been registered on Amazon UK as I confirmed with the brand owner.
Case ID: 11033046182
Could you please review the case and tell us the exact reason why the brand is enrolled?

You should try a search of Amazon. It's possible the brand has already been registered in a different category. (as in the brand is registered to kitchen with the IPO but cars on Amazon)

I was not aware that those authorised to sell a branded product was entitled to Brand Registry. I think Brand Registry is meant for brand owners themselves, not those authorised to sell.
Have you tried creating a listing and adding the brand into the Brand box? Does it let you? If not you should be able to request permission to list it.
Like ForumLurker states however, it may also be a brand that is registered in a different catergory (UKIPO are category/class based) and your registration is only protected in those classes. I do not know if Amazon have a way around fixing that issue....

"Brand Registry Application:
The initial step is for the trademark owner to register their brand in the Amazon Brand Registry.
Authorized Seller Access:
Once the brand is registered, the owner can grant access to authorized sellers by adding their account as an additional user.
Required Documentation:
Authorized sellers typically need to provide a letter of authorization from the trademark owner to demonstrate their authority to manage the brand on Amazon"
This is what I have found - so it looks like you can't have your own account to sell another's Brand.
