Why does Amazon refuse to dispose of all our products. It has been months!
We sold our last unit late June/early July. Since then we have gone through the process of disposing all our inventory via FBA Inventory Removal. We select the total number of units to dispose. When I check on the disposal, Amazon will hold onto units and mark them as 'available'. Why?
I am trying to close my account which I will never be able to do unless they go through all of the disposals. Is this a scam Amazon runs to keep people in the business and paying for FBA fees or memberships? How do I expedite this or prevent Amazon from not disposing all the units?
Next year we will submit our final tax return but at this rate it seems we will not be able to close our account by then! If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

If they let you submit the removal or disposal order, then cancel it, it is likely (this is a guess, since Amazon will never tell) that they can't find the inventory, so they cancel the request.
When I've had this happen, I keep submitting the request; after 7-10 times, they suddenly remove it from "available", and give me a pittance of a credit for "lost or damaged inventory". Which is ironic, because if they had just zeroed it out, they would have made money and everything would be fine (this has happened to me only on disposal requests). So keep submitting the requests and cross your fingers that it will get resolved one way or the other. Might not hurt to also open a case; if not resolved quickly, post the case number here and tag a mod.
As for anything marked "Unavailable", I have no clue. I've had a couple of these hanging around for well over a year.
Oh, and if you are on the Pro plan, downgrade to Individual so that you don't get hit with the monthly $39.99 fee.

Hi @Seller_5dzLD2jIFETYb,
Dominic from Amazon here, have you created a case for this? If so can you please provide me with the case ID?
Best,
Dominic
