8005 You are attempting to change an identity attribute for this SKU

So I have like 10 back and forth messages with seller support and its very frustrating. Hope someone here can help.

I could not update a few attributes in my listing and contacted Seller support and they would send a standard template message that the brand owner can only update. I am the only brand owner and will receive an automated message to consider updating the attribute value but I could not update them and that's why contacted seller support.

After some research, I found advice to delete the SKU and relist after 48 hours and that way I can update attributes.

Now when resisting via upload file after 48 hours, I receive this message:

"You are attempting to change an identity attribute for this SKU. To proceed, please delete this SKU and recreate the SKU with the appropriate identity attribute. For more information and detailed instructions, see: http://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/23191"

Then researched this problem and found that I should first delete this SKU via upload file, wait 48 hours and then re-list. I did this but still get the same message when adding the product via upload file.

Any suggestion as to how I can fix this will be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot in advance.

Could it be that your sku and asin are being used on other sites?

If you have international info turned on then sku and asin and synchronised to other sites, it won't work for you to just delete the sku from the UK site.
