Amazon refunded buyer without a RETURN

So since we sell high price items, we use signature confirmation on all packages. when this package arrived at the destination, the buyer refused it. so tracking on UPS shows enroute to shipper. then the next day UPS tried deliverying it again, and the buyer refused. by this time the package is now late because the buyer refused. UPS tracking then again showed returning to sender. THEN the next day, UPS tried deliverying it AGAIN, and guess what, the buyer accepted the package. the next day the buyer calls AMAZON and tells them the item was damaged in transit. AMAZON gave them a FULL REFUND! i need my item back so i can file a claim with UPS. why does amazon hate their sellers so much and NOT HAVE THEIR BACK. WE MAKE AMAZON MONEY! NOT THE BUYERS

how in the world, does amazon, just go ahead and refund my buyer without them sending my item back? why would they not tell them to open a return to send the item back to get a refund?

i really don't like the fact that amazon at their own free will can just withdraw money from my account without ANY CORRESPONDENCE!

Hi @Seller_UIOHXlB4Ywpr1,

Can you please provide me with the case ID on this and the order ID? Would like to review and potentially escalate if need be.

Best,

Amazon's policies are driven by complex AI algorithms, which can't be bypassed or altered for any individual case, even by Amazon itself. So, consider yourself lucky that your account hasn't been suspended. By the way, could you clarify—is this related to FBA or FBM? Sounds like FBA!

Amazon did this to me. A $4,000 product was delivered to the customer and they did not request a refund. Amazon gave them a full refund, took the money out of my bank account, and did not ask the buyer to return the product to me. @Christine_Amazon promised to help me but is refusing. It is outrageous that Amazon treats their sellers this way. eBay would never do this

That's insane. I wouldn't trust selling high priced items to people on Amazon with the amount of fraudalent claims we get. People just exploit the system and expect things for free. Amazon doesn't have any customer service, it's all automated.

Keeps happening to me too. Just happened again, told the Amazon help service that they gave away the money to the customer and my patch too. They told me it's all my fault, because of the settings. Then I sent them the screen capture picture about how I can't change that setting. Then they ignored what I sent and said, and they pretended that they didn't see it. So if Amazon won't let me change the settings, then how is that my fault? It's Amazon's fault. Blaming me for it makes no sense. :-/ Yet, they didn't take responsibility, they said it's all my fault and they won't refund my money and that's it.

Oh, they also told me that Amazon is expecting the seller and the customer solve the issue together. Well, the customer got the order and got refunded. Most customer ghosting the seller after that. Sure, there are honest people out there, but many of them don't care when they have the product and the money too. Sad, but that's how it is...

Returns are on the rise. I have returns on $10 items (reason: arrived too late) the item was 3 days early. Now they took away for charging return shipping. SMH

Dude, amazon has been pulling all kinds of shady stuff lately, after already receiving a huge penalty for violatons that numbered into the 5 digits, 53,000 to be specific.

People's rights are being violated left and right, and the company runs it's interactions with sellers as if it was a communist state.

All I can say is that the FTC is very aware of this, and has them in their sights. so file a complaint with the FTC, BBB, and SEC because their kangaroo court of nonsensical bull**** will always be twisted to serve them, not you.
