SAFE-T Claim Unfairly Denied – Need Help Regarding Buy Shipping Requirement in Dropshipping Model
Hello everyone,
I am a seller on Amazon.co.uk using the dropshipping business model. My company is based in the UK, and I fulfill orders by sourcing products from the United States through an intermediary warehouse.
Recently, I shipped an order to a customer using Aramex (DDP) with tracking number ............................ According to the tracking information, the item was delivered on time, and I even have a delivery photo as proof. However, a few days later, the customer received a full refund without providing any reason.
I submitted a SAFE-T claim, but Amazon denied it with the following explanation:
"We denied your reimbursement request because you did not use Buy Shipping Services."
In my case, using Buy Shipping is not technically possible because the shipments are fulfilled from the US to the UK, and the Buy Shipping feature on Amazon.co.uk only supports domestic labels.
All of my shipments include valid tracking information and are sent via reliable couriers. Given these facts, I believe:
Enforcing Buy Shipping as a condition for SAFE-T claims in international dropshipping cases is not fair.
The loss in this situation should be compensated, especially when clear proof of delivery is provided.
I’ve contacted Amazon support and requested a reconsideration, but I only received a standard reply repeating the Buy Shipping policy.
📌 I'm hoping to hear from other sellers who use a similar dropshipping model or have faced the same issue.
📌 How did you handle cases where Buy Shipping wasn't available, but delivery was proven?
Any advice or shared experience would be truly appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
