Yep, have seen a huge drop off in sales.
Not sure if this is to do with the virus or Amazon as this also coincided with the new dashboard.
I’ve been watching the “buy box” rate and it looks like every 7 days it drops off then wait another 7 days and its back again at 100%. As we are the only seller of our own patented and manufactured products, and have had 100% “buy box” for several years, clearly Amazon are up to something…

People are spending all their money on essentials and stockpiling like crazy people.
UK sales have pretty much ground to a halt, but for some reason foreign sales are on the increase.
We’re seeing the same pattern on Etsy/eBay etc too…

Another worrying thing (if it’s reflective of buyers) is that probably our most popular item has been quiet in the last 3 days (ie no sales) and yet this morning we sold one to France at 6am. Checking on the sales ranking it shot up from 256 to 68 in its category.
That can’t be right.

Not for me, in fact sales have risen I presume due to people preparing for lockdown.
I suppose it depends on what you sell. Obviously people are wanting video games to play (similar rise to half terms etc)

product and time of year peaks buy bbw have peeked massivly this month yesterday meeting our record in trading on amazon for last year but this is due to us selling gifts and mothersday, the virus is going to impact massivly in the comming weeks and will probably put a lot of smaller businesses out who arnt financially stable. fo sellers in good financial state at the end of it we will come out better as there will be less selling for a period. we have ordered items we dont normally not to make much profit but to help keep people in stock of essentials such as hand sanatiser we have ordered but set our mark up between 30-40p per unit as its only fare in times like this I dont agree at all with sellers hiking prices to profit on the virus which is why we have bought in items like this to help keep demand at prices which are low yes we will make profit but minimal.

The OP,s post asking if anyone else has seen a dramatic drop in sales…
How does your post assist the buyer?
It is neither constructive or in anyway offers an insight as to why his/her sales have dropped.
True, but then if I decided to drop-ship freezers (and I could quite easily) I would probably be on here gloating in the same way you are.
If I were to sell Christmas crackers in March I would expect my sales to be non existent, and the same applies to barbecue charcoal. However, when you are selling tried and tested products and have the same pattern of sales month after month and year after year, then they suddenly take a fall for no apparent reason, it is reasonable to question why.
May I suggest; instead of jumping on posts where buyers aren’t doing so well you open your own post with the heading “I’ve had my busiest week EVER on Amazon this week” and see what response you get.

Don’t worry, if you think sales are low now just wait until delivery personnel are self-isolating enmasse and there is nobody available to deliver orders without massive delays occurring. It is at that point you will notice how bad sales become. At this juncture I’m happy just getting sales.

Thankfully the covid virus didn’t appear in early November and all our christmas sales would have been impacted, hopefully most sellers made enough in the christmas period to help tide them over until this virus is under control & the supemarket shelves are stocked up again
