Latest Amazon Poll

This is the latest amazon poll:

“I mainly hear positive stories from other sellers about their experience selling in Amazon’s store”

I presume that the result would be 100% “strongly disagree”

There are the occasional good news posts here about Amazon selling but it just baffles me as to whom it is that is writing these polls and (more importantly), what they do with return information?

That’s what I submitted, as all I hear on the forum is negative things about amazon

There is one positive thing about Amazon that is undeniable, it’s busy and it’s easy to sell, but there are 100s things that make the experience unnecessarily unpleasant. There are sellers that are doing well here and therefore have decided to ignore all the unpleasant stuff to keep their sanity, but I have yet to encounter anyone saying that selling on Amazon is absolutely great.

I’ll share some good news.

I have access to 2 accounts, this one and one connected to my 9 to 5 job, and I have just 2 months of dealing with Amazon remaining, as we have decided to close both accounts as it is simply not worth the hassle anymore.

I am overjoyed and cannot wait until the actual day in late April.

Perhaps I’ll throw a party (with cake and jelly) and invite you all

When i saw it, it gave me the biggest laugh I’ve had when dealing with Amazon, and I’ve been dealing with them for twelve years - although it feels more like twelve hundred.

“I mainly hear positive stories from other sellers about their experience selling in Amazon’s store”

Now, if you’d have asked me that question back in 2011, I may have had a different answer.

As others have said, Amazon make it unnecessarily difficult for genuine sellers. I would expect that there are a whole raft of Amazon employees out there desperately trying to justify their jobs by coming up with new ‘initiatives’ and ‘helpful metrics’. So glad I ditched last year, my sanity has definitely improved.

I’m afraid it’s all part of the American psyche of having to measure and quantify everything. Unfortunately the system is broken and the AI bots are running amok. Sounds like Judgement day eh?! We humans are not worthy of existence in the Amazon world

Amazon is only trying to see how much they can get away with crashing sellers even further. Or are they simply trolling us? It’s just like being asked in the torture chamber if you’re still comfortable.

Has anyone seen the business select committee hearing when Darren Jones was grilling Amazon’s* European head of public policy about how dystopian and shocking working conditions in Amazon are?

At some point, this Amazon guy said that they are “constantly talking to their stuff”.

I believe that is what they think they are doing via those polls - talking to sellers.

Then they see the results - oh look, only 95% of sellers say that they only hear the negative experiences from other sellers - so there is room to squeeze them more. Get some managers and offer them a juicy bonus if they figure out how much can they squeeze sellers!
