Notification of Product Removal by Amazon Product Safety for a very basic product requiring no testing

ASIN B0CZP5PWTH

I was selling this product on FBA since a few weeks and today I got an email with the subject Notification of Product Removal by Amazon Product Safety.

This product does not require any testing.

The email says " If you would like to appeal this decision, please submit testing documentation from an ISO 17025 certified laboratory to the appropriate standard to Seller Support (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/cu/contact-us?_encoding=UTF8&ref_=su_contactus_nmhb_home). Consult with the certified laboratory to determine the appropriate standard for the product as a whole. We cannot accept documentation for just the component parts. ".

Many other products are being sold with are identical to my product. Eg. ASIN B0CNXRRD1K , B0CP2DVGPC

I don't know what the safety requirement is for this product as its a very basic item with nothing to test. Its a piece of leather that hangs on both sides of a motorcycle and looks good, provides some protection to the rider from the heat of the engine. It has no battery, or chemical, or anything like that. Its not model specific either.

I tried to find what could be the reason but have not found anything. I checked the other seller's product pages and did not find any information about safety. So I emailed a request to look into the matter as maybe it was done in error. And I got this reply email below.

" For reinstatement you must provide relevant product safety testing documentation and certification from an accredited independent testing laboratory.

-Electronic products require the appropriate UL standard from an ISO/ILAC 17025 certified lab.

-Children's products require an up-to-date (within the last year) CPSIA Compliance testing documentation from a CPSC approved laboratory, in addition to safety standard ASTM F963 if the product is a toy.

- For all other products, please submit all testing you have on hand from an ISO 17025 certified laboratory. "

So again I am pointed to a Lab test, but lab test for what ?

I am going to write to the labs also, to find out what they know, But it seems I will end up paying the possible income to the labs if I want to sell this product.

Please help in the right direction.

Thanks
