Rough % fees
hello. Hoping this isn’t sensitive because I’m desperate for feedback as I simply can’t seem to make any money here despite selling a fair bit.
I just wondered roughly what % total fees people are paying without giving anything confidential. So for every £1000 of product sales, all in except advertising fees, I’m paying around 45% to Amazon That means with advertising at about 30% it leaves me 25% which only just about covers my product cost and leaves me 0%. Advertising I can turn down but then doesn’t sell anything much. The fees at 45% includes all FBA fees, digital and referral and everything.
Thanks for any feedback ! I’ve been going 18 months but think I’m going to have to close if I can’t get the ratios better.

Try putting your prices up a bit, if your sales are mostly coming from your advertising then you're getting sales from customers who are easily influenced or making impulse purchases so less likely to spend further time comparing prices. If that doesn't work its time to take a look at your products and ask yourself if you're focussing in areas that are too congested for anyone to make a profit and perhaps look for alternative/supplimentary products.
