Wrong address on Amazon packing slip for FBM

We shipped an order according to address given to us on the packing slip. The customer contacted us by Amazon mail to say that he had been advised through Canada Post tracking that the package had been Returned to sender, as undeliverable. In the communications with the customer it was determined that the address on the packing slip was wrong ie, street number was 27 and not 127, but the Postal Code was right. In the meantime the package was returned to us. We resent a package to the customer with the proper address, but we have now paid twice for the shipment. Amazon advises me that the customer obviously provided the wrong address, so they cannot accept any responsibility for the wrong address! End of story?

Yes, I would have refunded it but taken a restocking fee. If the customer wanted it again after it was returned to you, they could place a new order with the correct address.

You did everything correct by shipping to their Amazon confirmed address.
