Fake negative reviews and counterfeit item reports from competitor - What can i do
Started on amazon selling a few products that aren't sold much in Australia. Bought these products directly from the manufacturer. Went well for a month, when the only other seller started leaving negative reviews and reports on my account. I knew it was him, because the addresses of the buyers that were complaining were always the same as the registered business address of my competitor (have pictures and proof of all of this). I told this to amazon and they didn't really care. Fast forward another few weeks, my account is deactivated due to "Counterfeit item" selling. I think ok, this is annoying, but i should be ok as I have all the required documents to appeal this and be ok. Probably 50 appeals later, and i only managed to pass 1 appeal out of 2 (Even though both items reported were bought on the same order, and so i appealed with the exact same documents for both items - go figure).
I have since given up on ever being able to sell again on amazon, and wouldn't want to when they treat their sellers this badly, I'm sure its illegal. Now I am sitting in my scheduled meeting for disbursements to at least get my funds back that were sitting in the account, and amazon has done a no show. Took the day off work for this, and now I'm assuming they will be rescheduling it, again. Wondering if anyone else has been through this hell? Any suggestions? Thinking of resorting to legal action just to get some closure, it's just ridiculous.
