I have been trying to list my first product, I bought UPC Codes from UPCS.com in 2021 but never used it. Today I was trying to enlist my first product but the message comes up, the UPC code does not match. I need your guidance

Thank you

What @Seller_AXC06kcsKI1qG says is correct and it would not have mattered if you tried to use it two years ago.

The change by Amazon had already been implemented after YEARS of allowing (or at least tolerating) aftermarket purchased numbers.

There are several posts about BRANDS being removed from BR because they had gotten in with aftermarket numbers and Amazon is now turning the computers loose to match ownership on GS1 with Brand names on here.

Amazon changes their rules all the time and sellers pay a price with NO NOTICE in most cases.

Hi there @Professor,

The information from @Seller_AXC06kcsKI1qG and @Seller_kIukTwdhvntAp is correct. If your UPCs are not associated with GS1 they are not currently considered valid. The reason for this is to ensure that the Brand associated with a UPC is used only to list products in that Brand. Amazon uses the GS1 database to ensure that UPCs are being used appropriately and is the authority on the ownership of a UPC code. I apologize for any difficulties this creates.

This change reflects a number of steps Amazon has taken to protect Brand Owners and to have an authority on UPCs to prevent UPCs being used multiple times in the catalog. Thank you for your understanding.
