Hi there,

How are you applying the IOSS code?
Are you just writing on it on the custom label, or are you printing it from a system, ie Royal Mail?

I don’t think the IOSS code is accepted if it’s just written down.
We use Royal Mail Click and Drop, so our all orders are printed from that system, and the IOSS code is digitally added to the address label, which customs can scan.

I’m pretty sure that’s how it works anyways, as it shows a little IOSS icon and barcode on the address label, and there is nothing related to IOSS on the printed custom label.

I hope that helps.

We are shipping our items to Germany via Click & Drop with electronic data submitted by barcode and the labels show the IOSS icon. This week we have had two requests for a refund for duties charged by German postal authorities - these have been supported by documents supplied by the customer. In both cases we have felt obliged to refund the costs. Now monitoring the situation regarding future orders to Germany…
