Sales & Use Tax Report

Quick question, is there a report in Amazon that would report sales/use tax collected and remitted per state for a specific time period?

Mainly looking to see the tax collected in our home state vs the remainder of the country, but it might be worthwhile to simply know every state during a given time period.

Thanks for the help!

Hi @Seller_FFKpoSWyYKBC6!

Looking at the help page Sales tax information in seller reports, there are three different reports that can give you what you need.

Under the "Tax Document Library: Sales Tax Report options" section, you'll find:

  • Sales Tax Calculation Report - This shows taxes based on your own tax settings
  • Marketplace Tax Collection Report - This shows what Amazon collected and remitted
  • Combined Sales Tax Report - This gives you both in one place

Getting these reports is pretty straightforward. Just head to Reports > Tax Document Library, click "Generate a tax report" under Sales Tax Reports, pick your report type and date range, and you're good to go.

One thing to keep in mind - these reports are only available with a Professional selling plan. I noticed this mentioned in the "Individual sellers do not have access to sales tax reports" section of the help page.

Best regards,

Michael
