Help Needed: Stuck on Account Deactivation Over ISBN Issue – What Am I Missing?

Hi everyone,

I’m in need of some guidance because I’m completely stuck. My seller account got deactivated over an issue with ASIN 0008209154, and despite submitting everything I can think of, my appeals keep getting rejected. Hoping someone here has some advice or insight!

Here’s what happened: I sell books (sourced directly from authorized suppliers and publishers—no funny business). The ASIN in question had the wrong ISBN-13 number listed. The brand owner and I both flagged this to Amazon, and they briefly fixed it—but two days later, it went back to the incorrect number.

The brand owner is still working on correcting the listing, but in the meantime, my account got flagged and eventually deactivated because of this ASIN.

For context, my account has been in good shape:

• 303 orders in the last 365 days

• 13 refunds (most were FBA replacements, nothing unusual)

• Voice of customer complaints— only one for damaged complaint

Back on September 12th, this ASIN was flagged, but Amazon later reviewed it and said everything was fine. Fast forward, and now I’m stuck in an appeal loop trying to get my account back. (we did not need to submit anything they removed the violation themselves)

Here’s what I’ve submitted so far to prove my stock is authentic:

1. Bank Statement showing the payment to my supplier, perfectly matching the invoice amount.

2. Supplier Invoice with full purchase details.

3. Manufacturer’s Invoice from Publisher to my supplier, proving the books were sourced directly.

4. A Letter from Publisher confirming everything is legitimate.

5. Supplier Certification Letter stating they only deal with authentic products.

6. Video Evidence of the books in my warehouse.

7. Photos of the stock, showing every angle, plus pallets and labels from the manufacturer.

I’ve triple-checked every detail: dates, spelling, addresses, quantities—everything is in order. I even asked my supplier to revise the invoices to make sure they meet Amazon’s standards. But my appeals keep getting turned down.

At this point, I feel like I’ve covered all the bases, but clearly, I’m missing something.

Has anyone else dealt with something like this? Any tips on how to approach it or additional steps I can take to resolve this? I’m confident in my stock and just want to get back to doing what I do best—selling great books to happy customers!

Thanks so much for reading and for any advice you can share.

I have reached out to the appropriate teams surrounding your concerns, they have advised that the documentation provided such as screenshots and sourcing information references a completely different ASIN and product thus the information provided is not valid in this particular situation.

At this time we will require invoices that meet our invoice requirements and references:

ASIN: 0008209154

Title: The Selection Series 1-5: (The Selection, the Elite, the One, the Heir and the Crown)

Brand: HarperCollins

So the account is eligible for reactivation, you will need to ensure that your invoices reference this product. Once you have submitted your documentation, I would advise following up with when. This will help me stay informed an offer any additional information if needed.

The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.

I am glad to hear that your account was reinstated, however as you mentioned it seems there are still some roadblocks with the listing. As the appears to still be active but requesting approval. As I have limited information on this subject, I have reached out to our community managers to review the situation further. They'll have a bit more experience in that field. If they can provide more guidance, they will follow up with your here.

Just checking on this one if you can relook the account status, its activated but our listings are not active yet its asking for approval.

We have already submitted the Invoice and all the documents for the ASIN

I am glad to hear that your account was reinstated, however as you mentioned it seems there are still some roadblocks with the listing. As the appears to still be active but requesting approval. As I have limited information on this subject, I have reached out to our community managers to review the situation further. They'll have a bit more experience in that field. If they can provide more guidance, they will follow up with your here.

The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.
